- Rumors of a second season began the day after Fan Fest when Ian made a tweet that seemed like a clue to a second season.[8]
- The First Table read was July 17th, 2019, which was also when production began.
- On July 17, 2019, Ava Kolker announced that production of the new season was underway.
- On July 17, 2019, Ian Reed Kesler confirmed that he would be directing an episode this season.[9]
- Eric Allan Kramer from former Disney Channel series, Good Luck Charlie, guest stars in the episode "Father of the Bribe".
- Season 2 featured the first holiday-themed episode in the series. (How The Syd Stole Christmas)
- The opening credits have changed in this season. However, the last two before Ruth Righi's credit remain intact. This is the first show since K.C. Undercover to have a clip opening and whose intro is changed at the start of the second season.
- Starting with this season, the end credits plays after the last scene of the episode, Disney Channel airings have the credits play during the last scene of the episode like in season 1.
